Susan Griffin-Black, co-founder of EO Products, discusses how an unexpected holiday catalog order from Bloomingdale's led to the company's formal founding.
“So in 1995, Bloomingdale's called and said, will you make us Four essential oil blends for our holiday catalog. I know, we said sure, and we had to think of a name for the company then, and these were very small bottles, so, you know, we didn't have a lot of room on the label, and aromatherapy just seemed like way too long of a word, so we just came up with the initials E.O., And then we did four blends for Bloomingdale's, and that started the company.”
