Micro-SaaS founder Tom Ulman explains the operational trade-offs of lifetime deal promotions to Acquire.com CEO Andrew Gazdecki.
“I think if it's kind of a make or break, or you want that really fast user base or revenue growth, then it's a really good lever to engage, but obviously it's not for everyone, and it doesn't always play out the way you want, and it can lead to, you know, massive influx of having to, you know, support users with feature requests or any minor issues and things, and it can also create a lot of upfront churn, I think. There's quite a high percentage of people who will test out the product and immediately refund as well.”
