Janice Bryant Howroyd founded the staffing and workforce solutions company ActOne Group in 1978, becoming the first African American woman to build and own a multi-billion-dollar enterprise. In addition to her executive leadership and philanthropic advocacy for education, she has authored books including The Art of Work: How to Make Work, Work for You.
