Alfonso de la Nuez, Co-Founder and CEO of UserZoom, reflects on scaling to near $100M ARR and the friction caused by delaying product marketing hires.
“Doing things simple when you're already at a hundred million, trust me, is a lot harder than doing it at the beginning. So my lesson, I guess, in this case is I wish I had done this earlier. I really wish I had done product marketing a little earlier, would have built a foundation, and, you know, right now we're kind of figuring things out at UserZoom, and it's gonna take a while. If we had built a foundation from the very beginning, I think we would have been better off.”
