“If you get microbes into a hydrogen filled reservoir, that hydrogen will be gone. And so you have a preservation risk for hydrogen that you definitely wouldn't have for helium, which is, you know, no, nobody can metabolize that at all, but same with oil and gas. You do have, you know, microbial and preservation risks for oil and gas, but hydrogen is just much more readily metabolized by bugs.”
