Durand founded Ping Identity in 2002, leading the enterprise identity security provider through its 2016 acquisition by Vista Equity Partners, a 2019 NYSE IPO, and a 2022 acquisition by Thoma Bravo. Earlier in his career, he founded Jabber to commercialize open-source instant messaging as well as Durand Communications.
