The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q Ok, so I am a closeted musician. I just rocked uptown funk in my shower this morning. It sounded amazing. Cause it's a freaking echo chamber in there, but I want to pay you to make me famous. Basically, I want you to make my song better. What am I as the musician going to pay sound better?

A So you're going to pay, uh, the provider on the other, the other end of the platform, uh, whatever it is that, that they charge for whatever it is you need. Right? So you could go on sound better and say, Like, let's say you post a job, and you say, hey, I've got this song, um, you know, Uptown Funk, and I want someone to produce, um, the track for it, and then, you know, I'll record the vocals, and I want somebody to help me mix and master it, and you'll get five proposals from top pros that we vetted, and you choose one, and you work with them, and, and, you know, that, that could range, it'll, it'll probably be a few hundred dollars for that kind of project, um, and you pay them, and, you know, we facilitate the payment, and, um.

AI assessment note: “it'll probably be a few hundred dollars for that kind of project”
