The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q Can you tell us a story about one of them?

A Yeah, so one of them is actually a, uh, an attorney, uh, out of, uh, out of Nebraska. His name is Daniel Stockman, uh, from Nebraska Interstate Drug Defense, uh, and he reached out to us, I believe a little over a year ago. Uh, Dan was just a solo attorney, small firm, uh, And his largest competition is nine attorneys. So obviously he can't buy up every single billboard or radio ad or TV spot. Um, so we had to be able to find a way to market more creatively. And since we started producing his videos for him, not only has he been able to just reach a ton more of the market share that he has, but it's essentially doubled or triple his business at this point. I mean, he, um, and, and not just in terms of more cases, because that for him, that wasn't just the goal, more cases for him and obviously more time as well, but actually Um, less cases, but higher value cases. So he's able to now really kind of maximize the value of his time. And he went from where an average case value of about a thousand dollars to now an average case value of about 10,000 dollars. So that's, it's been a huge increase for him.

Q And so what does he pay you and what'd you deliver for him? What was it? A three minute video, a 10 minute video? What?

A Yeah. So we produced a, uh, just a brand video for him to start. It was just kind of like a, who he is, what he does, why you should hire him, that, that kind of thing. But these aren't like the types of videos where it's like the Ambulance chaser videos on a green screen or white background. I mean, these are real like storytelling videos. So that one's about, I think two to three minutes. And now we've also been doing a series of, uh, of educational, uh, videos for him that we help, uh, market for him as well. We do them with their blog posts. So one released every other week, um, for a full year, uh, the actual, in terms of the actual cost of the campaign that typically varies, um, for the brand videos as a standalone, usually those around 10,000, Um, and then, uh, ongoing as a monthly campaign, it's anywhere from four to 5000 a month.
