The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q So, very cool. So, tell me more about, like, tell me the story of a customer that's using you guys. So, HubSpot, for example, you said is using you guys. How are they using you?

A Right. So HubSpot, uh, they have a lot of, uh, sales, sales reps and sales development reps. Uh, so every day they log into our system or they use us directly from their, uh, CRM to understand, uh, their prospects or customers a little bit better. So let's say, um, if, uh, if a sales reps, if a sales rep, uh, wants to make a call, they want to learn as much as possible about this company. Uh, if they're using their competitors, for example, uh, Or if there is, if they're using a tool that might be relevant for them, ah, so they can get all this information from Datanize directly, ah, and then, and they can be more prepared for this call. Um, and, and if you're a sales, sales development rep, so for sales development, ah, the key is to schedule demos. So they try to, ah, leverage data in our system to find, um, high potential leads. Uh, so they use all the different filters to find a, a good, uh, subset of companies that, uh, are more likely to use HubSpot, and then, uh, from there, they, they find the right contact within these companies, and then find their email information, which all these steps we, we do very well. Uh, so this is how they use it on a daily basis.

Q Interesting. And what is, what would you credit? I mean, the growth is impressive. You launched basically, it's officially two years ago. It's already doing Six million dollars a year run rate. How have you gotten more customers? I mean, what's been the key?

A Well, actually, um, at the beginning, we're not doing any marketing, nothing whatsoever. It, it was mostly word of mouth, uh, and, and me trying to put my sales hat on and, and, and try to, uh, reach out to some people and, and, uh, using different techniques, uh, try to sell my solution to them. Uh, over time, we've built a great marketing machine as well as outbound, uh, machine. Um, so inbound and outbound. And Of course, for outbound, we use our, we, we eat our own dog food. We use data nice to find great companies to go after. And so both of these channels work pretty well. We have pretty much 50, 50% split between inbound and outbound.
