The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Daniel CH no published score: no usable exchanges on raw tape, and a fair score needs 8+ record → ← everyone

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q Let's go back to legitcheck.app. The headline on your website says authentic fake. Let's find out. What's the business model?

A It's very simple. So, uh, we are first and foremost a media company, more than a tech company. So this actually didn't even start as a business. I, in 2017, I was, I wanted to learn how to make an app, and I found out that I don't really like it, that I actually hate making apps, but I did go through and finish it. So it was literally just a glorified bookmark folder, because I've also written a few guides on how to tell fake Yeezys, fake Pharrell Williams shoes. That's what was cool back then. And then I just let it there. And long story short, in the meantime, it has just grown. It was, I got very lucky to a point where, um, I think it pulled in a 100,000 users before we made an Android app and then 300,000 users before we made it into a business. So to answer your question, the business model is simple. This is our bread and butter. We have some other things as well, but people send us pictures and we come back with a verdict. We tell them whether that item is fake or authentic. And then if they got scammed, if suddenly we need to bring the set of news that the item is fake, we can help them get their money back if they paid via PayPal or via credit card.

AI assessment note: “people send us pictures and we come back with a verdict.”
