The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Brian Wong no published score: no usable exchanges on raw tape, and a fair score needs 8+ record → ← everyone

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q Wait, Brian, hold on. Come on. I can't let you skim over that. What do you mean? You just happened to kind of sort of meet some venture capitalists.

A Well, I, I say it casually because in San Francisco, they're everywhere. I mean, there's more that you can shake a stick at. Um, you go to a cafe, like a hotspot, like a, a sight glass or a blue bottle, and there's like five concurrent pitches going on. Um, but in my case, you know, I had met a fellow by the name of Adam Doug Kelly, who is at true ventures at the moment. And, and he was just starting very new. Um, I think it was an associate, uh, And we basically hit it off. We started chatting about new opportunities and ideas. He's like, this thing you've got around rewarding in games seems interesting. Maybe you should come in and talk to our partners. And so I, I went in and shared the idea and some of the development that we had done on the side. Um, and we being me and my co-founders and, um, two co-founders, the three of us in total. So we kind of had this working prototype ish. And, you know, after this pitch, we, Uh, got a term sheet, and it was a very small amount of money. How much? Seed investment. It was 300,000.
