Ghonim gained prominence as an organizer of the 2011 Egyptian revolution while serving as Google's Head of Marketing for the Middle East and North Africa. He authored the memoir Revolution 2.0 and co-founded the social discussion platform Parlio, which was acquired by Quora in 2016.
