After working as an early software engineer at Quora and Pinterest, Chou founded Block Party, an online safety and privacy platform. She is widely recognized for sparking Silicon Valley's public diversity reckoning by crowdsourcing numbers on female software engineers, and she later co-founded the advocacy organization Project Include.
