Before starting Ursa Major, Joe Laurienti worked as a propulsion engineer at SpaceX and Blue Origin on systems including the Merlin and BE-3 engines. In 2015, he founded Ursa Major to build rocket engines and solid rocket motors for commercial launch, hypersonics, and national defense.
