George Michelakis founded London-based long/short equity hedge fund Gladstone Capital Management and manages its flagship Lasker Fund. Previously an investor at Lansdowne Partners, he was formerly one of South Africa's top chess players, winning the 1993 South African National Championship and earning the International Master title.
