The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q Okay. I'm excited for this. So just to be clear, is this, are you making sort of a marketplace fee on the projects flowing through your system? Are you charging sort of a flat SAS fee, traditional software model?

A Yeah, it's a flat SaaS fee. So, I mean, that's what it is for now. So, so, um, so what we do, um, is that in the marketplace, so, so we actually, we have developed a marketplace, uh, platform and we currently operate three different marketplaces. One is sort of the, the, um, actual energy market Finland, which focuses on the energy projects, um, in the Finnish market where we are based, um, The, uh, then we operate Action Energy Finance 24, which is the finance service for, for the, um, for the energy projects, and we're currently developing a third service, which is sort of for Action Energy Market Global, which is, which is, um, a marketplace for, uh, cross-border energy, energy projects. So, but anyway, so it's like SASB.

Q That first marketplace, paint that picture for us. For my audience not familiar with the energy space, who is a buyer and a seller on that first marketplace that you talked about?

A Yeah. So, so this is the one, uh, so the action to market Finland is the one that we operate in Finland and the buyers, um, are housing companies. So, so this is like apartment buildings, um, that are organized as housing companies, um, obviously can be used by other companies. Um, building some facilities as well, but this is the biggest market segment at the moment. And the, uh, the buyers are looking for ways how to improve energy efficiency or make new energy investments in the building. So they want to change the heating system. They want to do an energy efficiency project. Um, it could be heat recovery, uh, could be solar, could be, um, uh, charging station or something like that. So that's an example of the project. So they're looking for offers in that area. Um, so, so on the marketplace, we bring the buyers and the providers together.

Q And what's the average project value that goes through that marketplace?

A Um, it can be very small projects. Uh, I mean, sort of more like consulting, consulting related, sort of planning related. Um, so this could be some tens of thousands of euros. So roughly about the same, the USD, or, you know, it goes up to, um, a couple of millions. I mean, when it comes to, to the, um, to the actual implementation. So, so we, we support providers in various stages of the development. So it could be that they are looking for a provider that's going to do the initial, uh, Sort of, um, um, like survey, you know, does it make sense to, to, to, to sort of, uh, implement this sort of a heating system change, uh, then you could find a, a engineering company, um, um, via the service to do the actual planning work. And then you can use it to, to say, if you're doing a ground heat project, which are very popular here. Um, so, you know, you drill, um, drill, like say, 300 meters underground. Um, and that's where you get the heating. I mean, we, we truly need the heating in this country. It's currently it's -15 Celsius here.

Q Okay. So hundreds of thousands of euros in terms of projects completed, uh, in fall of last year, right? Moving into obviously winter. And what do you think you'll do in 20, 24 in terms of total project value?

A Well, it really depends on, um, how many of the projects we able to get in the, um, in the implementation stage, you know, when it's consulting related projects, you know, this is, this is, um, this is, you know, obviously much smaller projects, but we aiming because, you know, before I answer that question is we, what we actually aiming to do with the marketplace is to be digitizing the project data and that's, uh, and we bring financing for it. So, so the type of projects that we want to get via the marketplace, we actually want to originate, um, projects, uh, sort of projects that need investment. So, um, so our aim, um, so we currently fundraising a, uh, SPV so that we can actually start investing into the, into the projects directly.
