The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q That seems really, really small. How's that so small?

A In a market like India, paying for something like advice is still nascent, and I think it's something which we anticipate developing over time with the market growing over the years, and we see a huge propensity for the market growing year on year. So, five dollars, like I said, is an average ticket size today, where everything is sort of domestic in nature, both, both sort of stakeholders on the platform. Uh, but as you go international, uh, I see and become a more global product. I, I see differentiated offerings, larger ticket sizes, and also keep in mind that, uh, we launched this purely as a B to C play, right? That is only users, students, professionals come in and, uh, you know, sort of schedule these consultations. Uh, so when businesses sort of come into the picture, the average ticket size, It goes up dramatically.

Q Ok, so of the 5000 experts on your platform, have they all made money?

A Not all. About 20 to 30% have already made money. Um, so it depends a lot about, uh, on how much effort an expert puts into his or her profile. Uh, so we give sort of varied options for an expert to project themselves better, uh, you know, rank them, uh, to try and rank better on our search results. Uh, and once a user sort of lands up on their profile, how do you attract the user to actually place a consultation? So we, uh, You know, give a lot of tips and tricks to our experts to increase their chance of getting consultations, but that's been a process, and, um, yeah, so we, we have seen a large increase over time as we have introduced more and more things, more and more tools for the expert to, uh, get better.
