The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Roger Wu no published score: no usable exchanges on raw tape, and a fair score needs 8+ record → ← everyone

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q him and his wife are planning a trip. They go, oh, remember Nathan's post about Mykonos? We want to go to Mykonos and use our chase card, right? I mean, how, how do you make sure that the cookie is active that long? I mean, how do you know that someone else's cookie doesn't get in front of my cookie from 12 months ago? I mean, attribution is not easy.

A It's not easy. So we do a couple different things. Um, one of them is only on the destination side, so we work with a company that buys all the data across United.com, Kayak.com, I mean, you name it, Hilton.com. It's only for travel, and we see that a win for us is not necessarily a purchase, because you're right, that cookie gets kicked out a billion times. Um, a win for us is when you do a search, and the reason why is because Let's, you know, somewhere undesirable. I could tell you all this great stuff about it and say that it's, you know, a hundred dollars to go. You're still not going to want to go. Um, but if there's a great destination, you're going to finally, when you're finally convinced that you want to go, you're going to ask, well, how much does this cost? And that's the equivalent of doing a search on one of these online travel agencies. And, and maybe that flight is outside of your budget and Um, but, you know, again, that's, that's, we, we demonstrated that there was interest in terms of, uh, you know, your intent to go to this destiny.

AI assessment note: “we see that a win for us is not necessarily a purchase”
