The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Naveen Gupta no published score: no usable exchanges on raw tape, and a fair score needs 8+ record → ← everyone

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q Who are some of the other ones, Naveen, just so we have context?

A So, so again, like, you know, uh, on the reputation side, you know, you would have like, you know, players like reputation.com. On the survey side, you might have players like Qualtrics and Medallia. On the social side, it might be Hootsuite, Sprinkler. On the insights, you might have sort of, you know, a Clara bridge. So what Verdi does is we are a broad platform where we combine the functionality sort of, you know, in one platform, right? So, so that's the big differentiation because we believe that businesses, especially mid-sized businesses, uh, you know, they want sort of, you know, this functionality in a, in a, in a single platform and think about organizing your business around a customer. Uh, you know, a customer is not expecting to get multiple communication, one from your marketing team that, hey, can you write a review for me? One from your customer care team, you know, can you fill out this survey? One from your social media team, right? You, you know, the customer, as far as the customer is concerned, they are thinking in their mind, hey, I've already provided you the feedback. If your company is, if your business is unable to draw insights from that feedback, Uh, you know, that's not my problem. So, so that's where we combine all these platforms into a, all this functionality into a single platform. And to answer your question around pricing, uh, you know, obviou…

Q Thank you for joining me. I think it's early out there in Palo Alto this morning, but tell us what BirdEye does. What's the business model and how do you make money?

A Sure. First of all, thank you, Nathan, for having me on your show. Um, you know, BirdEye is a leading SaaS company. We help businesses, ah, you know, through their customer journey. What that means is we help them, ah, with their customer experience and with their reputation marketing. So when you think about, sort of, you know, any business's customer journey, ah, you know, back in the day, you know, marketing, Drove all purchases, right? Like any form of marketing, be it offline and then online, that's SEO, SEM, um, you know, and so on and so forth. But today, it's really, sort of, you know, two things that drive purchases. One is customer experience, and the other is, sort of, customer ratings. And BirdEye provides businesses the tools, uh, to influence both, and improve their customer experience, and improve their, sort of, you know, business ratings, to drive more revenue.
