Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each
question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on
four things from 1 to 5:
directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow),
precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted
mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange
scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean.

Q Oh, it's okay. Hold on. So break that down for me. The old focus is what?
A Yeah. So that, so that's really, uh, customer satisfaction. And, uh, I think I made a first time founder mistake by, uh, going too broad. So we tried to fix every problem with feedback out there. Uh, but essentially we tried to be there for, for everyone. So we were there for no one. And two years ago we sat down because every day we saw another competitor and we were a tiny fish, a fish in the big ocean. And we thought it's better to become like a big fish in a small pond. So we sat down and we decided to fully focus on candidate experience, also because there's a little competition, and that's our way in also for the whole people experience, so from hire to hire, the feedback.

Q And that business does, what, a million a year in revenue? Yeah. Uh, and a hundred and few logos. Yeah. Interesting. Um, I have some ideas on that. We'll come back to that in a second. Um, okay, cool. So doubling down on this new business, um, you know, more nimble team, more focused, 10 engineers. Uh, what does churn look like on the new business?
A Well, on the, on the new business, so at the beginning of this year, uh, what we wrote down, uh, on our wall, that we said we will only focus on companies hiring at scale, so that's Fortune 500, so we have Coca-Cola, Danone, Vodafone, and Future 500, so Elastic, Robinhood, those companies. Uh, we only saw a churn of, uh, uh, of, of two companies, and those are both companies that, uh, are probably going, uh, bankrupt. So, uh, yeah, that's, that, that's the reason that the NPS is, uh, 50 plus, uh, uh, it's all integrated, uh, companies are using it on a daily basis, so we finally found something, uh, that's, that's really, uh, working for us as a team as well.

Q Okay. And what have you scaled to today in terms of total customers?
A Yeah, so we are working for, uh, uh, 250, uh, clients on the one hand for, for big corporates like, uh, Nestle, uh, Heineken, uh, DHL, but also for many tech companies like Spotify, uh, Deliveroo, Takeaway, uh, so those, uh, those companies. Uh, and right now we are, uh, also, uh, making a little shift in, uh, in, in focus because, uh, yeah, I think it's, it's a typical, uh, startup mistake, especially, uh, in your first company. That you go too broad. So we were quite broad. I sometimes compared with, uh, uh, yeah, dynamite fishing in the Philippines. We just threw some dynamite in the water and there was a lead and we said, Hey, you have a problem. We can fix it. You have a different problem. Uh, we can also fix it. We have never, never heard of your problem, but we're sure we can fix it as well. So yeah, we, we, uh, used to be like a very small fish in a very big pond. Obviously, you know.

Q So, I mean, how do you think about that, right? Because that, that means you're about Flat since when you last came on almost, you know, a year and a half ago, right? But have you bootstrapped or have you raised?
A No. So we, uh, we're now actually making money. So the last time we spoke, we were burning a lot of money. So, uh, and, and, and I think that's, that's also one of the, uh, the, the, the pain points when making a pivot, you really need to fight your way. Uh, when you take one step back, uh, before you can take two forwards, you know, you need to do it all by yourself. So here, we're, uh, we're doing it ourselves right now. So while the, the total revenue is, is flat in a way, Uh, in our focus, we're doubling every year, and, uh, we're signing also big American companies, or at least, uh, big tech companies like Elastic, Robinhood, Brex.
