The Exchanges

Every argument clarity score on this site is built from rows on this page. Each question and answer was assessed with names hidden, the host's own answers included, on four things from 1 to 5: directness (does it answer the question asked), coherence (do the ideas follow), precision (concrete details and clear references), compression (says a lot per word). The weighted mix (30/30/25/15) is the exchange score. A person's published score averages their exchange scores on raw tape only, at least 8 of them, shrunk toward the cohort mean. Full method →

Every exchange below was scored with names hidden, four dimensions each from 1 to 5. An exchange's score is 0.30·directness + 0.30·coherence + 0.25·precision + 0.15·compression. The published score averages the raw tape exchange scores and shrinks small samples toward the cohort mean, so five great answers can't beat twenty good ones. Produced feed rows count only toward coarse estimates, never toward a full score.

Q shares, she's issuing shares of Popcom using the blockchain, a technology that in this case allows people all over the world to own a piece of Popcom. So, needless to say, I was a little bit excited to dig in and find out why, seemingly out of nowhere, Dawn decided to take such a controversial path. Why do you need to, to do an ICO and raise thirty million dollars?

A The reason why I'm doing an ICO is so that I can get out of the, ah, constant fundraising cycle. I want to build product and I want to get to work. And so this thirty million will get me Many years of runway to be able to build my products, bring it to market, commercialize it and scale it without going back every six months to a year to raise money from VCs. I don't want to sell my entire company to investors. I want to hire the very best talent that I can without restrictions around what I can afford to pay them. I want to expand my business globally without restrictions around, you know, how much money that we have. So, this is not a white paper ICO. We have a real product, we have real customers, we have real investors, and I just want to go out and build product.
