Josh Domingues describes his scrappy initial market test for Flashfood in downtown Toronto before building the product.
“We went to a store at Bay and Dundas in downtown Toronto, like the Times Square of Toronto, and there's a grocery store there, and I bought, like, 200 dollars worth of, like, food that had a day left of shelf life, and we set up a table at the corner of Bay and Dundas. Like, literally, like, think of, like, an, like, a little circular coffee table at a coffee shop, and we just, like, taped logos around the side of it, and they were, like, flapping away in the wind... Nothing, and we sold all the food in like, 20 minutes.”
