Pete DeJoy co-founded Astronomer in 2017 to provide commercial orchestration infrastructure built on Apache Airflow, having previously served as its Vice President of Product and Chief Product Officer. In July 2025, he stepped in to lead the company as CEO following the departure of former CEO Andy Byron.
