He serves as the 17th chair of the Federal Reserve, having earlier served on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors from 2006 to 2011 and as a White House economic policy advisor. Between his stints at the central bank, he was a visiting fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and a partner at Duquesne Family Office.
