Billy Markus co-created the cryptocurrency Dogecoin in 2013 alongside Jackson Palmer as a satirical alternative to Bitcoin. He left the Dogecoin project in 2015 and remains an online commentator under the pseudonym Shibetoshi Nakamoto.
