“I think that venture capital is going to go the way of past financiers of creative mediums where usually you have, you know, the early folks end up being pretty comfy execs because they took a risk on the industry and on early creatives when there weren't too many of them around. Then you have an oversaturation in that industry, whether it was a book publishing or TV execs, or even now, I think the world of film, and then usually you have this like late entrant that ends up aggregating way more value than everybody else, because their risk model and business model is completely different, right? So Netflix is now the largest financier of entertainment, of film and TV, and has none of the trappings of traditional studio execs, because their business model is a subscription business. I think Amazon did that with books, and I think that's going to happen with startups too.”
