Replit CEO Amjad Masad advises an audience member at Y Combinator on how early-career professionals can acquire generalist skill sets.
“Join startups as early as possible. Like, obviously, you can think of it as Sort of exponentially decaying curve or like being the first, being the founder, you get the most journalist experience being the, you know, first employee. And then by the time you get to the hundred, I don't know, like to the, maybe a 100th employee, you're sort of like, you're not getting as much of that journalist experience, but like just join as early as you can, depending on your, Risk, risk profile and all of that, but even like number 20 at a, like a series B company, I think you will get a lot more experience than at a FANG or something like that.”
