Sid Bendray, co-founder of app studio Olive, explains why the company operates in stealth during early app launches to prevent copycats from destroying marketing alpha.

“Our plan is to always go public with an app that we've worked on. But we never bring it to, we'd never like highlight it in Wednesday's nation phase, because if other people jump in that same market right away, or like deploy the same tactics, it's just going to affect our attack. So it's not really to our benefit, to be honest, to like start or like to be public and the earlier part of it, but like once it's hit critical mass and we're like, Hey, this app, this thing, a few million ARR is also like an olive company.”
