Gil: Early in platform shifts, founders should target easy low-hanging fruit

Investor Elad Gil and Sarah Guo discuss early-stage AI market selection and tactical advice for startup founders.
“Early in markets, like when a new technology shifts and disrupts the whole market, you actually want to just do the easy stuff, right? Why do the hard stuff? There's so much low hanging fruit. Why don't you just go after the stuff? It's super easy. And my sort of advice to founders generically on this stuff is like, don't do the hard stuff right now, or if it's hard, do something that's technically hard that enables a giant breakthrough in terms of use case, but don't actually do the hard market. Cause there's so many easy markets right now. You should just go for the easy stuff.”
