These readings are observational: the transcript shows whether the question was answered directly, whatever the reason. It is an AI reading of a public exchange, never a claim about intent, and the tape is one tap away on every row. full disclaimer →
Every one of the 148 people on the record is accounted for: 4 carry a full rate (8 or more assessed questions on raw tape), 128 more have their questions counted (34 of them with at least one not answered directly; too few raw questions for a fair percentage, edited feed included), and the remaining 16 never took a direct question in any tape we hold: compilations, panels and cameo appearances leave nothing to assess.
No needle for Sarah Guo: fewer than 8 assessed questions on raw tape, and a percentage on a sample that small would mislead. Their counts are real: 3 not answered directly in 6 assessed questions.

“Anything that you think that might be counter to what the most people say, most people do, most people are betting on? Do you have anything that is against the grain?”
answered: “I don't know which of these things are contrarian. I can tell you where”
“Well, have you heard any, what are some, what's a wild example of how people use this for hacking or for fraud? Oh, I mean, like, for my company, we get emails from me, it's not really me, and sometimes it will have, or, um, like, it'll have a link to something that sounds like it's in my voice.”
answered: “if you ask me, like, what are the reasons in which, ah, broad use”
“So there's character AI that has like some absurd amount of traffic, but I've also heard some things about like, I don't know if this is all legit traffic or what, but there's character AI. What are the other ones that are interesting or what do you, what do you, who's doing well?”
answered: “I want to touch on character for a second”

Percentages come from raw unedited recordings only: produced podcast audio has tangents and stumbles cut in the edit, which moves the speaker up by about 12 percentile points. The small-sample counts include the produced feed. This is a reading of a transcript. It is not an accusation of dishonesty, and there are many good reasons not to answer a question directly (confidential numbers, unreleased products, someone else's news to break).
