Stress and Doubt Are Involuntary Visualizations of Negative Outcomes

Sean Puri explains how he overcame his skepticism of visualization and mental conditioning routines.
“Everybody in their head is already imagining some outcome. So like if you're ever stressed or worried or doubt, what is that? That's your head imagining the thing not going right, not going well, failure, whatever, right? So if we are willing, like it sounds kind of hokey and cheesy to imagine things going well, it's like sort of like this hippy dippy thing to do. But the other side, which is imagining things not going well, everybody's doing all day anyways. Anybody who's ever had stress or fear or doubts If you just break down what that is, that's imagining things not going well. It's imagining a future where this doesn't work. And so if you're willing to, if you're already doing and willing to imagine things not going well, you might as well start imagining things going well also.”
