“And then I got, I asked the founders to give me ads for free. Jeff Berman: The founders of Reddit to give you ads for free. Yeah. Why would they? Noah Kagan: Well, I think because they were launching their ad platform and they wanted some data on it. And so, you know, what I, what's worked for me and worked for my father, I think it's worked for pretty much anyone who's done really well in life is you have to ask. And that's one of these things where sometimes now I'm asking too much. So I've got to pull back my asks, but the reality is in business, it's all asks. Will you be my customer? Will you be my partner? Will you be, will you work with me? That's all we're doing. Will you be my wife? Will you be my girlfriend? And so, I just said, hey, you're doing these ads. Can I take out for breakfast? Explain what I was doing. Hey, I'm just getting this started. Do you think you'd give me some free promotion for it? So, I posted it once. I posted it, and I got some free ad promotion, and pretty much instantly, I was like, holy shit, this is working.”
