Giffon: Senior execs at larger firms are untapped talent for running startups

Investor Jeremy Giffon discusses talent sourcing and finding non-founder operators to step in and scale recapitalized startups.
“There's a lot of C-suite and senior executives at a business that's two or three times bigger than maybe the business you're looking at. And those are people who are like highly capable, has at least some entrepreneurial spirit, but maybe they're not, you know, whether by constitution or circumstance, not interested in taking the full risk of a founder, but still want to be in the driver's seat. Want to, you know, want to run a business. And there's actually a lot of talent there that can be unlocked who are people who, you know, can't do the go through YC thing, but still, you know, would love to have real upside, would love to lead a team and run a business. And yeah, I think there's actually a lot of really untapped talent there.”
