Matt Turck shares observations from Bloomberg's interactions with startups offering raw data products.
“I think that the business of selling data is, is a very difficult business, and from a Bloomberg perspective, we've, you know, spoken, or we speak very often to startups that come to us with the hope to sell their data, raw data, and I think they quite frequently come out of those conversations fairly disappointed, not that we don't want to buy the data, in some cases we do, but the monetary amount is not what they had in their projections typically.”
