“Writing is a very helpful thing to boil down very complicated things to yourself and to prove to yourself that you're right. Because when you write, you usually need sources. How do I know this? Where do I know this from? And in that COVID blog, we had links to everything that we got it from every academic paper. And what you don't realize is most of the stuff in your head is BS. Most of the stuff in your head may be a little wrong in the way you remember it. Everything is based on your biases. We're obsessed with getting that. And so if you have to cite a reference, What you do when you write, it really makes sure that you're not bogus”
