Kupor: Government technology adoption fails through long-term white papers

Scott Kupor, Director of OPM, outlines his strategy for driving AI adoption across federal agencies.
“If we say, like, you know, we've got this big agenda to get AI, then people are gonna build these five, 10, 15 year plans, and quite frankly, nothing will ever happen. Like, we need, like, micro-level projects at each agency with basic use cases to say, how do you just turn the dial this much on efficiency? And then I think, like, then you can go do the five and 10 year or 15 projects, but, like, the traditional mode, as Greg knows, of government is, like, everything should be tops down, like, these massive white papers and all those other stuff, like, I don't think you adopt new technology through white papers, you do it through actual, you know, individual user adoption.”
