“The most conventional entrepreneurs look for demand that exists but is currently unmet. Visionary entrepreneurship is the kind where the demand doesn't even exist yet. The reason that Jobs was such an inflecting visionary character was because he believed in latent demand. So every two to three years, he would come out with a product and say, people are gonna need this and they don't even know it yet. That's what the most amazing entrepreneurs have always done, is to work on a demand curve that's only in the ether.”
