The plugin runs in a terminal on your computer. The connector runs in claude.ai chat. Both reach the same StarZero account and the same libraries.

Seven skills drive the starzero CLI. Claude follows each skill's steps: pick the library, dry-run, state the cost, ask, run, watch until it finishes.
claude.ai chat, and other MCP clients
StarZero's remote MCP server. You sign in with your StarZero account when you connect, and it brings its own instructions for the model. The plugin bundles it, and it is listed on its own in the claude.ai connector directory.
https://mcp.starzero.ai/mcp Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients can add the same URL. Uploads from disk and deleting happen in the StarZero app.
Everything runs on your StarZero credits. Before each billed step, Claude runs starzero credits, names the command and the cost, and waits for your yes.

Talk to us about the APIYes. Setup opens the StarZero login in your browser and stores the token owner-only in ~/.starzero/credentials. Nothing is pasted into the chat. A browser login lasts 5 days, and any skill signs you in again when it expires.
Install the plugin in Claude Code or Cowork on your computer. It uses the starzero CLI and its login. Use the connector in claude.ai chat, where there is no shell. You only need one login per surface.
Plugins are not loaded in Claude Code cloud sessions, and there is no browser to sign in with. Install the CLI in the environment's setup script and set an API key as STARZERO_API_KEY. API keys come with API access, which is on request: talk to us.
The starzero CLI, about 40 MB, from GitHub releases, checked against its SHA256 sums before it runs. On Linux and Windows it also fetches ffprobe for upload estimates. It talks to GitHub, api.starzero.ai, app.starzero.ai and, for the connector, mcp.starzero.ai.
No. The CLI and the connector have no delete commands. Deleting a library, media item, chat or run happens in the StarZero app.
Yes. Say "go ahead without asking" and it holds for the session. A line in your CLAUDE.md makes it permanent. Claude still states the cost before each billed command, and still asks about decisions that change what runs, like starting a second run while one is active.
