“And with AlphaGo, the scoring, because of the scoring inherent to Go, AlphaGo could generate lots of new moves and instantly see which ones are good. So it could iterate its way through that learning process to get to really, really good moves. And so then you had go players looking at this and saying it's generated all these really interesting strategies that no one had thought of before, because it didn't have any preconceptions and it was just looking at the scoring. So it did all this kind of unconventional stuff, but the key point is it could double down and iterate further on the ones that were good because it could have, there wasn't score in inherent to the system.
