Cognition CEO Scott Wu explains to Lenny Rachitsky how building generative AI software contrasts with standard startup playbooks advocating narrow initial focus.
“One of the, I would say the most common pieces of startup advice out there, I would say is, you know, focus on a really niche cohort, you know, do things that don't scale, you know, make, make, make one use case that's really great. And then you grow from there. And I think that's you know, I think that's great advice across the board, but yeah, it's kind of interesting because, you know, I think with generative AI, you naturally see this where a lot of product experiences can turn out to be more general.”
